It is important for MCERA's participating employers to understand their organizations' role in managing and administering retirement, death, survivor, and disability benefits for eligible employees. Participating employers provide MCERA with the employee demographic and payroll data that allows MCERA to calculate retirement benefits and run the retirement system.
